I am chair of the Department of Physics and Astronomy
at Augustana College in
I did my undergraduate work at Michigan State
University, and received a Ph.D. in computational nuclear physics from the University of Minnesota, under
Benjamin F. Bayman.

I am the faculty adviser to the physics and engineering club/society of physics students. Check out the club Web page. I also host a blog for club events and info for alumni. I am involved with astronomy
activities on campus. My PhD thesis research field was nuclear
physics, but I am currently pursuing research in nonlinear optics.
I am a member of the American Association of Physics Teachers in the Illinois Section, the American Physical Society's Division of Laser Sciences and Forum on Education, and the local chapter of Sigma Xi research society.
