St. Paul Lutheran Church - Oregon, Illinois

Established in 1848, the Oregon congregation was also an early and important parish of the Northern Illinois Synod. The parish almost died out once, but is thriving today in its new building. The sketch shows the old church, built in 1893. It is a typical example of the style of building erected by many congregations around the turn of the century.
