This picture was taken at 8:35 pm CDT at a rural site using the same equipment as the picture below. This was a 10 second exposure. The size of the photo is 14' x 9'. The comet was a distance of 0.55 AU from Earth and a distance of 0.88 AU from the Sun. The moon was first quarter and the comet was in the northwest going through the handle of the big dipper. The perihelion date for Comet Tabur is November 3.
This picture was taken at 6:04 am at a rural site using an 8" Meade telescope and an SBIG ST-6 CCD camera. This was a 10 second exposure. The size of the photo
is 14' x 9'. The comet was a distance of 0.44 AU from Earth and a distance of 0.93 AU from the Sun. It was in the northeast near the cup of the big dipper.
