Larry Martin, former professor of
physics at North Park University, died on Oct. 25, 2002. He was
46. He is survived by his wife, Susan, his parents and two
brothers. A memorial service was held in Chapel Hill, NC, on Nov. 2.

At the Fall 2001 meeting of ISAAPT, Larry was an invited speaker as he talked on "Tour of MathML and VPython". He also lead a workshop on WebAssign, software which he created and which is now used in over 700 schools. He was very active in the Chicago section of AAPT. We will miss him. |
