Planetarium
program, "Mars Watch",

167, east end of building. Enter through the double
glass doors on the north side of the planetarium. Free
of charge and open to all meeting registrants. Doors
close at the start. No reservations are required.
On August 27, 2003 Mars was closer to the
Earth than it has been in the last 57,000 years! The
Mars photo on the left was
taken by Martin Mobberley on August 16, 2003 using a webcam and a 30 cm
telescope. This
NASA page includes a Java applet that shows the motion of the Earth
and Mars around the Sun. |

Parking on and
around the ISU campus is highly regulated. The most convenient
parking will be available in the
Bone Student Center parking lot at a rate of 80 cents per
hour. This lot is on Locust Street, one block east of Main
Street (US 51).

Registration on
Friday is in
Moulton Hall, room 311, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. On
Saturday it is in
Stevenson Hall, room 401 from 8:30 to 9:30. Here is a
