We solicit your papers and student projects in any area of classroom physics.  Many of you have proven, clever ideas and we want to hear them.  Some of you have students who are involved with you on an student research project.  If you would like to share a "state of the research" summary, please submit your one paragraph abstract to conform to the format given below and mail, fax, or e-mail it as soon as possible.

ABSTRACT FORMAT

HOW TO PREPARE AN ABSTRACT FOR THIS MEETING.   Fred W. Zurheide, school name, city, state, zip code.  The abstract must be typed.  Begin the abstract with the title in CAPITAL LETTERS, then the name(s) of the author(s), underlined, followed by the institution, city, state, and zip code.  The abstract must be a single paragraph, single spaced.  State specific objectives, findings, and conclusions.  Make sure your margins allow six inches of horizontal line and do not exceed 1 3/4" vertically.  Your abstract will appear in the final program for the meeting.

(new IBM computers and projector are available)

At times there will be single invited presentations with our program and that of the Dedication and the Technology Conference for the K-12 teachers on Friday.  At times, our program will be divided into four sessions:  Student Group, TYC21 (Introductory Physics Teaching), General Physics, and Physics Research.  Please indicate which type of session your paper best fits.  Most of these will be on both days;  therefore, if it makes a big difference to you on which day you are to present, please indicate you choice.  Most papers will be allowed 20 minutes plus 5 minutes of discussion and questions.

Check the special box on the Registration Form if you will present a “TAKE-FIVE” Mini-presentation.  No advance abstract is needed for the “take-fives”, just indicate which day you prefer.

Please mail, fax or e-mail your ABSTRACT, the COMPLETED PREVIOUS PAGE,  and the REGISTRATION FORM as soon as possible to:
