Regular Mail or FAX - Call for Papers

Spring Meeting of the Illinois Section of AAPT
April 5-6, 2002, Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois

Note:  If you can access the Internet, we prefer that you go to our Web site
and use our online form to submit your paper.  Thanks.

We solicit your papers and student projects in any area of classroom physics.  Many of you have proven, clever ideas and we want to hear them.  Some of you have students who are involved with you on a student research project.  If you would like to share a summary of your work, please submit a one paragraph abstract to conform to the format given below and mail or FAX it no later than April 1 to the address listed at the bottom of the page.

ABSTRACT FORMAT:
The abstract must be typed. Begin the abstract with the title, then the name(s) of the author(s), (underline the name of the presenter), followed by the institution, city, state, and ZIP code. The abstract must be a single paragraph, single spaced.  State specific objectives, findings, and conclusions.  Your abstract will appear in the final program for the meeting and will be "published" on the ISAAPT Web site.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Please specify your audio visual and computer requirements.  The physics department at Principia can accommodate the  standard audio visual requests, including computer based needs.  They do need to know this information well in advance of the meeting so they can make arrangements to assist you, if necessary.

COMMENTS:
Please indicate in the comments when you would prefer to give your talk (Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, or either one).  To make concurrent session run smoothly, all papers will be allowed 15 minutes.  This includes the time for discussion and questions.  Also, please indicate if this talk is to be part of the Student Research Symposium.

OTHER INFORMATION:
Please include your telephone number and e-mail address so that you may be notified of the time that your talk is scheduled.

If you would like to present a “Take Five” mini-presentation, check the appropriate box on the Registration Form and list its title.  No advance abstract is needed for the Take Fives.

Submit your abstracts no later than April 1.
