This talk will focus on the photonics program and research opportunities in the Department of Physics at SIUE. The physics graduate program at SIUE provides diverse research opportunities in optics/photonics. Currently, the group works in the areas of thin film optics, optical spectroscopy, nonlinear optics, holographic data storage, ultrafast optical spectroscopy, and photon counting in scintillating optical fibers.
