Shock Collar
Click on this link three times for a larger image. |
| NASA
recently test fired a new rocket called Ares-1. It is longer than a football
field and accelerates from zero to over 100 km/h in less than 8 s. In
this photo the top part of the rocket is engulfed in a
shock collar of water droplets likely created by the sudden drop of air
pressure. |
