Double Ring Galaxies - The Perfect 10

These two galaxies of Arp 147 collided and passed through one another.  The rim of the blue galaxy pictured on the right shows an immense ring-like structure 30,000 light years in diameter.  The rim is composed of newly formed, extremely bright, massive stars.  This picture was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.
