The John Deere Chapter of Sigma Xi is pleased to announce its annual induction of new members banquet to be held at 5:45 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2002 in the Wilson Center at Augustana College.  New members will be inducted in a brief ceremony, we will enjoy a delicious meal (a buffet with two entrées), and then we will be brought up to date with the following presentation.

Ron Vail and Sally Rigeman

Ron Vail is the Lead Professional Development Specialist for the Regional Office of Education in Rock Island.  Sally Rigeman serves as the Secondary Math-Science Consultant at the Mississippi Bend AEA.  Both Sally and Ron are responsible for providing continuing education opportunities for teachers as a part of their continuing professional development.  They come to their present positions after serving many years as high school science teachers.

Directions:  The Wilson Center is in the College Center at Augustana College.  As shown on this map, the building is on the southwest corner of 7th Ave. and 38th St. in Rock Island, Illinois.  Parking is available in Lot E, adjacent to Centennial Hall.  Take the pedestrian bridge across 7th Ave., enter the building, go around the mailbox area, up one flight of stairs, and exit the building.  The doors of the Wilson Center will be on your left.  There is an elevator near the west end of the College Center to provide handicap access.
