Main Event.  The public is invited to join these scientists in discussing some of the top science stories of 2008.  After watching three short segments of the NOVA ScienceNow programs, there will be a discussion led by these scientists  Here are further details about these three topics.  Light refreshments will be served.
Dark Matter (13:50).  It turns out most of the universe is held together by a mysterious, invisible substance.
First Primates (13:04).  Our most distant primate ancestors, which took the stage shortly after the dinosaurs left it, were tree-dwellers the size of mice.
Killer Microbe (8:29).  A relatively benign bug becomes a highly lethal pathogen, known to U.S. soldiers as Iraqibacter.
