John Deere Chapter of Sigma Xi
Sigma Xi is the national scientific research society. The John Deere chapter (#250) is
in the Quad Cities -- Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa; Rock Island and Moline, Illinois.

Research Presentations.  On Jan. 19, 2010 new associate members of the chapter presented either a 10 minute talk or a poster describing the research they have been doing.

Annual New Member Induction Banquet.  This event was held on Nov. 17, 2009.  Our guest speaker was Dr. Mark Arnold of the University of Iowa.  His topic was "Noninvasive Chemical Monitors for Medicine and Biotechnology with Near Infrared Optics".
