Associate members of the chapter presented either a 10 minute talk or a poster that described the research that they have been doing.  Four new associate members were inducted.  Attendance was 66 including a reporter from the Quad City Times who wrote an article that was published on Dec. 10, 2004.

The winter meeting featured a new hour-long PBS science magazine. A preview airing of the 1-hour program was followed by a panel discussion with local experts on the phenomena presented.
