New associate members of the chapter inducted in October presented either a 10 minute talk or a poster describing the research that they have been doing.
The third program of the year, "NOVA ScienceNow - Top Science Stories of 2006" featured these three topics - asteriod, mass extinction, and obesity.  Three panelists - Robert Mitchell, William Hammer and Heather Mattern - discussed these topics and fielded questions from the audience.  The program was held at Rivermont Collegiate School in Bettendorf, Iowa Tuesday, March 27, 2007.
