Comments on Test 1 in PH 308

  1. Know how to use Kirchhoff's rules and Ohm's law to solve DC and AC circuits.
  2. Know how to use Thevenin's Theorem and Norton's Theorem.
  3. You will be showing me how to check your work with Electronics Workbench (2 computers available).
  4. Be able to determine the impedance Z for a network containing R, L and C.
  5. Be able to draw and explain the operation of a rectifier circuit.
  6. Compare filters.
  7. Explain semiconductor diodes.
  8. Omit RL, RC, RLC and bridge circuits.   Omit transformers.
  9. Closed book, closed notes, no information card - this time.
  10. Get a good night's sleep on Sunday night.
