[St. Thomas Church in Leipzig]

St. Thomas Church in Leipzig

My pen and ink sketches of historic buildings in Leipzig, such as St. Thomas Church is published in The Lutheran Magazine of the LCA . See Illustrated Articles: "With Pen and Ink in Leipzig" Vol. 14, #18, October 20, 1976. The sketch appears on a Note Card. The inscription reads, "St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, where Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) was a teacher and cantor for 27 years. His grave marker never seems to lack fresh flowers. This view of the church, founded in 1213, is from the east. Pen and ink sketch by Erwin Weber, Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois." A few note cards are available upon request.
